Capabilities Overview
Tom is a freelance technologist with extensive experience in coding and CAD
creating Alexa Skills, IoT devices and other electronic devices. Software
development, circuit and PCB design using through hole and surface mount as
well as CAD design for shells, enclosures and solid part files for 3D Printing.
Services are offered piecemeal, so whether you need some coding, a finished
prototype, or a board design ready to go to the PCBA shop, you get the services
you need.
Amazon Alexa Skills
Lambda using Node.JS and Python, however Node is much better suited to the
platform. S3 storage (audio clips, skill card images), DynamoDB, session and
account information, Polly (great for foreign language slugs), Alexa Skill Kit (ASK)
and more.
Electronics Engineering
Circuit design for digital and analog devices. Prototyping, PCB layout, design and
fabrication. In his own shop, Tom is able to design and build most anything. With
experience working with Raspberry Pi and Espressif platforms, Tom is able to
design, code and build IoT capable and analog devices.
